i tell you what regardless of what the critics reviewed this film ilove Adam Sander if you have any kind of life you will absolutely lovethis film.

OK maybe some are right there isn't much of a plot but wow to ridiculea film on just that is just pompous.

I went to see this film with my mate last night and i tell you ihaven't laughed so much at a film in a long time... and the rest of thepeople in the cinema i can tell would probably say the same, so muchlaughter throughout.

to be honest i have found Adam Sander films not quite as funny as theyused to be but this 1 makes up for the ones that aren't i am seriouslythinking about going to see this film a second time, loved everyminute.

If you listen to the critics here, you will be utterly disappointed youdid if you have any resemblance of a life out side watching a film andwriting about everything thats bad, even if they are remotely rightthere is no way they could tell anyone this is a bad film and shouldn'twatch.

so go watch the film, enjoy, then write a review on how wrong thesecritics are :)

Me and the wife tend to go a late night show normally on Friday night.Because we go for the late show choice is usually limited to 2 or 3films. This week we had Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, The Girl whoplayed with fire, and Grown Ups. We chose grown ups not really knowwhat to expect. Plot is basically basketball coach wins the league withsome kids. 30 years later coach dies and his team of kids now grown andwith families first come together first for the funeral and then for acouple of days get-together, and in the all bond. The comedy isn'tsubtle with fart jokes and 4 year old boys being breast fed, but itsfunny. There are some great one liners and a few laugh out loud bits.Its not going to win any Oscars but it kept us entertained for an hourand half

I have never posted a review here before but I felt compelled to afterwatching this sad excuse for a movie. I did not laugh a single timeduring the whole movie despite so many apparently funny actors. Itseems like most of the crew were ready to fall asleep at any time. Themovie did not flow from scene to scene and it seemed like they weremaking up the movie as it went along. I watched it with 2 of my friendsand they did not like it either. Someone had to have realized it wasgoing to be a terrible movie during filming as none of the jokes wereeven funny so I'm surprised they came up with this garbage. Someoneprobably came up with the story in a day. Next time I will make sure toread reviews before checking out something from Redbox. I was somewhatcurious to watch it because I saw Adam Sandler in Boston when he wasfilming the movie, but it would have been better to restrain mycuriosity.

As with most of the Adam Sandler comedies it's more about the kid stillbeing there. Even if the outer shell is there and is trying to foolyou, there is still more kid inside him than an adult. Of course thisshouldn't come as a surprise to you. If it does, you clearly haven'tseen his other movies.

And depending on your feelings for simple comedy, you might like itmore or less than what I have rated. I never was a big fan of AdamSandler and most of his movies (Little Nicky and the one with theGolfer), though I liked him when he played in more dramatic movies. Butthen again, most people do like him, when he's funny, so don't bediscouraged, if you haven't tried any Sandler yet ... take a lookinside and decide for yourself, if this is for you or not ...
