To be completely honest, I did not notice the existence of 'TRON:Legacy' in the cinemas until recently as it wasn't my first choice ofmovie- I was much anticipating Narnia then. But when I saw the trailerwith its stunning black, blue and yellow colour contrasts, I thought"This looks interesting". And it surely is!

The story packs an extraordinary simplicity of quest. It begins withKevin Flynn (Jeff Bridges) telling his son, Sam Flynn (Garrett Hedlund)about the Grid and he looks forward to taking him there someday.Unfortunately, something goes awry and he gets 'trapped' in the worldof programs. Growing up, Sam longs for the return of his father. Whenhis uncle receives a message, Sam slowly finds his own way into theGrid. That's when the real adventure begins, and the most interestingparts of the movie prevail! The Grid is no longer the safe place hethought of or first imagined. Clu, the ruler of the Grid, forces himinto battles of survival, putting him up against challenges with otherprograms. This is one of the best parts of the movie- the battles! Thedisc war and the motorbike wipeout, to be exact. The effects generatedin these scenes are spectacular, with timely slow motion actions tocreate suspense and anticipation. The formation of the bike in computerlooks stunning and as a teen, we go 'wow' and we wish we can own it inour real world.

His ultimate goal is to search for his father and tries to bring himback into the real world. With the aid of Quorra (Olivia Wilde), sheleads him to his father and they have to exit the Grid before thegateway closes. Race to the exit is exhilarating, again with itsstunning visuals of the jet fights. No doubt, this movie places itsemphasis on graphical effects and it surely is well paid off! Thestoryline may be common, draggy at the development and ratherpredictable, but I always believe in the 'how' than the 'what', and the'how' especially the aforementioned scenes triumphs in this movie.

It has great cast, in that sense a good selling point as it brings backJeff Bridges and Bruce Boxleitner from its original TRON, and Garrettto me is the perfect guy to play Sam.

I look for lessons to learn in movies and in this, I found family loveand cooperation to work out best. Without a doubt, Sam and Kevin sharesa typical father-son love that drives one another to bring out thebest, even going the extra mile. Sacrifices by fathers for sons andcourageous acts from sons to their fathers clearly displayed in thismovie. And of course, without teamwork, there is no way to survive inthe battles.

While this movie has values to learn and great acting, the best remarkI can say goes to its effects (once again) and it is the effects alonethat will appeal to you and makes you want to watch this movie. Getready for a ride of its brilliant graphic!

When i was 10 i saw the first tron. I remember seeing it and i wasblown away. In the 70's people were blown away with star wars. but inthe 90's i was blown away with tron. Now that i'm 31, i felt like the10 year old i was when i saw the first tron. It was great seeing Jeffbridges back to playing Flynn. he looked like he hadn't aged a day whenplaying Flynn and C.L.U.(with the help of computer effects). I lovedhow the story was emotionally driven and that it was about a sonfinding his father. the first tron was only about a guy getting suckedinto the grid and surviving. whereas this tron it was about Sam findingKevin. Olivia Wilde looked extremely hot as Quora. after all she's oneof my dream girls. The 3D looked awesome. thou it's in 2D 4 the first20 minutes so if you're expecting a full 3D movie, you might bedisappointed. The ending was satisfying yet sad due to Flynn's death.but he might come back for a tron 3. Overall, this tron is awesome andbetter than the first. 30 years after the first tron, tron is stillblowing people's minds!

this movie was really bad...it started off fine...some decent visualeffects, but after 20 minutes you could leave and not have missed athing...i know that the plot/story wasn't the point, because that washorrible... but even the pace which moved like gomer pyle in FMJ,didn't live up to the action of the first TRON... boring and eventhough it was colorful, the visuals weren't enough to save this dribbleof a movie... the worst part of this film is all the other films itripped off, from the bond style scene that was just like moonraker, tothe matrix bite, and coutnless others i picked up on, that were sobadly stolen, that it is a shame to mention them as if to give anycredit to this waste of time. i want my two hours back... you couldkeep the money...

Tron whilst entertaining in some respect, simply failed to tell storyin a manner appropriate to the story.

The digital effects whilst pretty failed to hold to any idea of adigital landscape and creating a visual atmosphere at odds with thestory. Plasma like explosions, smoke and water had no real place in adigital environment and broke an already weak story.

It all come off as an unimaginative hack to exploit a better told storyfor a quick buck. Unimaginative story, stale script, ill thought outvisuals and modern day testament to the continued dumbing down sciencefiction.

If you watched and really enjoyed the original Tron just pretend thatTron Legacy had never been made and avoid it.

What an awesome mind-blowing enjoyable film. I don't understand why thecritics where so negative towards this superb film. I don't go to thecinema for intellectual stimulation, I can read a book or watch acomplex plot on the small screen for that. I want to see a film that Ican sit back and be entertained by without any effort from me, whichtakes full advantage of the big screen, big sound 3D medium - boy doesthis film deliver such! The sensations: of motion, of falling, offlying where extraordinary - the virtual world was breath-taking – themusic was also superb - this is a fantastic film for all ages, astunning experience in 3D Imax. I am now going to buy my own quality 3Dglasses so I can go again and enjoy even more. My only negative commentis aimed at penny pinching Odeon (Cardiff) not the film – because theyprovide such rubbish plasticy flimsy glasses, especially consideringwhat they charge for tickets, on their rubbish web-site, which wouldnot let me book seats where I wanted towards the front even though thewhole block of seats here where completely empty when I arrived 1 hourlater !
