Jellystone Park's 100th anniversary might be the last one. The parksattendance has dropped off badly and the mayor sees this as a greatopportunity to fund his campaign for Governor and bring in more fundsto support his life style. Mayor Brown plans to re-zone the park sothat he can sell off JellyStone land to Loggers. In comes Rachel, agirl who wants to do a story about a certain talking bear named Yogi,but finds herself helping the park after hearing about the mayor'splan. Yogi, Boo Boo, Ranger Smith and Rachel all team up to try andsave JellyStone Park from closing forever to preserve a place they allcall home. Yogi is a part of Warner Bros History, he's Historic, andkids grew up with Yogi since 1958. For Yogi to be re-introduced to aNew Generation like this is Fantastic. I hope the Hanna-Barbera familyis happy about this film because I was definitely proud of how WarnerBros did the film. Alright, most live action movies made about cartoons are not worthwatching.

This film actually remains true to the source material. Dan Aykroyd andJustin Timberlake (whom I doubted would be good in any film or doinganything) both do very believable voices for the main characters ofYogi and Boo Boo.

Admittedly, there wasn't much laughing in the theatre that I canrecall, but there were some very humorous moments. The story does suckyou in though, despite the story being a bit trite and unsophisticated.

The main thing is that the film captures the spirit of Yogi Bearbeautifully. There is plenty of picnic basket stealing. Plenty ofhijinks that are committed.

The only reasons I didn't rate this a 9 or a 10 is because somecharacters didn't appear such as Cindy Bear or Snagglepuss whom was aregular on the cartoon.

Maybe the love story could've been done a bit better, but all in all itwas a very entertaining movie.

In the new animation Yogi Bear even the voices of Dan Aykroyd as Yogiand Justin Timberlake as Boo Boo aren't able to take a lumbering scriptand make it less than soporific for adults. But, then, this movie isfor youngsters about 5 years old, no older, so it has found an audiencethat might be mildly amused, as mine was.

In this derivation from the once popular TV series, a documentaryfilmmaker, Rachel (Anna Farris), falls in love with Ranger Smith (TomCavanagh) while she witnesses his struggle with nefarious forces thatthreaten the future and ecology of Jellystone National Park. Yogi andBoo are not a help even though they'd like to be because Yogi regularlydisproves his boast that he's "smarter than the average bear." Thiscomedy, magnified but not improved, by 3-D is not smarter than theaverage animation.

I think you guys are all making a big deal your kids are suppose towatch this and find it funny. It's suppose to look like and beenjoyable for little ones. The movie is really good for being a kidsmovie. What you guys need to remember is that if its not a good moviethats alright these people work day after day to make this movie and iam sure that they would enjoy a good movie rating and not hear all thiscrap about it. i want to hear if the movie is good not if the lightingis bad or if the cameras could have done better, i want to hear that itwas a great movie or if it is a waste of time, i don't need all thisgarbage with it.

Yogi bear is an absolutely great movie for the family but if you havethe chance you MUST see this movie in 3D as there are many 'in yourface' moments.

The excellent voice talents of Dan Aykroyd (Yogi) and Justin Timberlake(Boo Boo) make this movie that much better as they sound perfect as thetwo main characters.

The plot for this movie is very different from the original cartoons asYogi and Boo Boo are not only trying to steal picnic baskets but theyare trying to save Jellystone Park from the city's evil Mayor Brown(Andrew Daly) and the way they save the park is absolutely fantasticand funny!
